Photographers needed for Nov. 6th event
This job was posted by Events1 about 1 month ago. This posting will expire on Wednesday, October 15. Events1 is willing to pay between 0.1 and 100.0 dollars per event. The job requires that you be available 5:45pm till approx. 9:15pm These hours are not flexible.
Description:
We need a few excellent Photographers willing to help a great cause!!!
We are reaching out to you in an effort to help the National Law Center on Homelessness and Poverty with their annual Awards Dinner Fundraiser.
They would LOVE a photographer or two, but were not sure if they could afford it this year.
They usually have a :45 min Reception and then a 2 hour Dinner portion.
Approx. 110 – 140 people attend the event.
We are looking to find two or three talented, photographers, with professional cameras who would LOVE the experience of real work to put in their portfolio, while lending their services and the resulting work of High Resolution photos for free, or very inexpensively, to this great cause.
We want the evening to feel Festive and Fun, especially with how dire the economy is, and recently learning that the homeless rate at some shelters has risen 8% in less than a year. (mostly women with children)
It is all pretty bleak feeling, which is why we want to keep the event as up-beat as possible and having 2 roaming cameras capturing the night, makign people smile can give it that high-end event feel.
In general this is a very nice Business Attire type of function. So, we would expect the Photographer to dress appropriately.
Awards are given out to those who have gone above and beyond in the fight against homelessness & poverty. This year, they will have several, including Rep. Judy Biggert from Illinois who has been instrumental in getting national legislation passed, and Rick Schaden (owner & founder of Quiznos Subs), for starting a homeless organization called The Road Home.
The Center does have a budget of $150 for the Photographer. ( I realize that is not normal pay for a 3+ hour event. )
But, if you are, or know of some excellent event photographers who would like to split that money available, or maybe consider this their community service, we would be very indebted.
Our needs are as follows:
Thursday, November 6, 2008
Photographer during the Reception…. :45 – :50 mins.
Then attendees move upstairs and we want to capture the speaking part of the dinner program - about :15-20 mins of on-stage talking. (needs to be captured) probably from 5:45pm till about 9:15pm.
Then we break for Dinner Service, it would be nice to have the photographers take group shots at each table.
After that would come more awards on stage.
Total time at the venue -
Please let me know if this is something you would be willing to share with your Students or not.
I am trying to locate the Photographers and have an answer back to the Center by the end of this week.
Thank you for your consideration.
Best regards - anita
